My son is turning 6 in just a few days. With his birthday being so close to Christmas time, I need to have a lot of good gift ideas in mind. When it starts getting close to November, I start taking notes. Not with a pen and paper, but mentally. (I could write it down I guess…) This is how I put together my list of the 10 best gifts for 6-year-old boys.
What I pay attention to:
- Which toys does he play with the most?
- What are his interests?
- Is there anything he has mentioned that he wants?
What I want in a gift for my 6-year-old:
- Something that he will play with more than once.
- Things that don’t take a lot of batteries.
- Toys that spark the imagination.
- Educational toys.
- How long it will last.
These are all things I take in consideration before buying gifts for my son. I also let him go through a magazine and mark things that he wants. (This usually leads to pretty much everything get marked though… so it’s not really that effective!) I also let him add things to my Amazon Wishlist throughout the year.
